Blurb:

Trespassers shall be eaten.

The only known survivor of mixing black magic and dead magic, Jenny Greenteeth was an evil witch who lived in a swamp.

Jenny sat naked in the swamp, waiting for her next victim to make the fatal mistake of wandering into her sacred territory. Would it be a man, woman, or youth this time? Vampire, shapeshifter, or goblin? She didn't know or care who it was. All that mattered was the protection of her home and acquiring food for her belly.

The meat of frogs, turtles, and other slimy creatures no longer satisfied her stomach's cravings or need for nourishment. The first person that had dared to explore her territory was not meant to be eaten but she'd tasted his flesh out of curiosity. And she'd loved the flavor of his warm blood like the way she'd once enjoyed sweet raisin cakes and sugar-coated candies.

Jenny hadn't always been a monster of the swamp but memories of her childhood and adult life were mostly forgotten. Her mind was now set on murdering every single being that walked anywhere near the murky marshlands where she would forever dwell.

My Take on the Book:

In this Black Annis Origins story, I liked how the world seemed to expand a little bit; and even though you get very little of Jenny’s story – I found this to be quite a fascinating book. I ended up giving this leisurely read a four star rating.

Last Word:

It’s always nice reading something new from this author, she ended up dipping a little bit deeper with this character.

Enjoy,
