My Copy of the Book
Year Published: 2016
Genre: Suspense; Geared more towards adult YA
Blurb:
English Translation:
Burns helps Kerbs break into his mother’s vehicle.
They plan to use the money for a trip to the rock festival Mind F*ck. On the side of the road they pick up Partygirl, who is also on her way to the rock festival.
Burns whole world turns on its head at Mind F*ck. And nothing is ever the same again.

My Take on the Book:
At the beginning of this book, there’s a lot of humor as well as some crudeness in it. By the time you finish the book – you realise that it’s actually quite a dark book. I ended up giving this leisurely but thrilling read a four star rating.
Last Word:
It’s the first time that I’ve read a book by this author, and the first time that I’ve read an Afrikaans book as leisure. Chances are very good that I will most likely read another book from this author – it appears as if he touches on some relevant topics.
Enjoy,
Carmen
