Year Published: 2020

Genre: Suspense/Horror

Blurb:

Hastur is already overrun by ghosts. Now the conjure woman who resurrected them has awakened a new terror, a deadly, eight-legged one that strikes from the shadows without warning.

Add to this a murder plot, a devastating earthquake, a missing mother, a gang of outrageous villains, and a young boy tormented by demons both real and imagined, and you have the makings of an epic quest through the hidden places of monsters and gods.

It’s a journey that begins with a secret revealed in a charnel cave and ends with a hard-earned lesson learned in a Dark House of Dreams.

My Take on the Book:

There were, at times quite a few characters to keep track of – though this is a sequel to the previous book; so you do get some characters that were from the previous novel. This was more of a mood and character driven novel.

I ended up giving this book a four star rating and got a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Last Word:

This is the second novel that I’ve read by this author – and one thing I enjoy about his books is his writing style.

Enjoy,
Carmen
